1800°C 4L Muffle Furnace w/ Kanthal Heating Element

This CF1800 series muffle furnace includes topshelf internal components, ensuring perfect results time after time. Sweden’s famous Kanthal molybdenum silicide (MoSi2) heating elements are encased in Mitsubishi 1900 alumina fiber insulation. This is all enclosed in a dual wall steel housing, which minimizes heat loss. All along, a Japanese Shimaden 40-segment digital controller precisely controls the process.

A built-in RS485 digital communications port and USB adapter allows for remote control and monitoring directly from your PC. You can even save or export your test results. A self-tuning PID control unit provides optimal thermal processing while minimizes overshoot. Another important feature, its built-in ammeter and dual voltmeters allow you easy monitoring and troubleshooting, while a type B thermocouple gives it a long life. Safety features include overheat and power failure protection. This and each one of our furnaces is CE compliant.

Safety

• Overheat protection shuts down the furnace if temperature is outside of acceptable range (refer to controller's manual) or when the thermocouple is broken or malfunctions.
• Power failure protection resumes furnace operation right after the point of failure when power is reestablished.
